For many years now we have had an Easter Vigil tradition with our friend Kay. We attend the Easter Vigil Mass that begins with the lighting of candles to illuminate the darkened church and includes Baptisms and Confirmations to welcome new Christians into the Church. After the Mass we gather with Kay and other friends for a party at her house. Sometimes it’s a large gathering, sometimes including one of the newly baptized. Other times, including this year, it’s an intimate gathering. Always it’s a warm and wonderful experience.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
