Winter Wonderland

New Mexico, Road Trip, States

We awakened on Saturday morning to a bright and glorious day with snow all around. We had planned to hike but none of us – Floridian or New Mexican – had proper footwear so we whiled away the day watching the snow melt, reading in the glorious living room at Elaine’s, and sneaking in little naps. It was a most relaxing day. To keep us from developing cabin fever we did go in to town for lunch and shopping, and later for dinner. Much to the delight of us Floridians, we chilled our wine and beer in the snow on the balcony outside our room.
