Chugging Around the Christmas Tree

Family

Once we decorated our Christmas tree Steve set up his American Flyer train set. Through the years of Lionel train layouts on two 4X8 sheets of plywood, and the 14’X16′ HO layout that he and Dick and CJ built in the upstairs of our Woodlawn house, Steve has always treasured the memories of his American Flyer train set that he had when he was a little tyke in Cincinnati. In recent years he has acquired some AF equipment and track. That he continues to keep even though the Lionel and the HO have been passed on to offspring. This afternoon we spent time on the floor as the train chug chugged around the tree complete with sound and smoke. Steve confessed to feeling five years old. CJ on the other hand with Geology and Physical Chemistry finals hanging over her felt her full 22 years and 7 months!
