Forayed out in the morning for a delightful breakfast at Buck’s Cafe in Woodside then headed back to the apartment to wait for the truck. The movers arrived in a truck too big to negotiate the narrow street so all of us helped unload Lou’s few boxes and a couple of pieces of furniture. Lou & Steve ducked out to purchase some soundboard to help reduce the noise between Lou and her neighbor. By the time they got back it was raining again and beginning to get dark so we opted to stay in rather than go exploring in the dark and the cold and the rain.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
