We broke camp in Clinton in the mist and headed north. We arrived in Lexington, Kentucky around noon and had a delightful lunch and afternoon visit with cousins Phil and Jill. After lunch we were able to spend a little time with Anna, one of their triplets, before heading into Cincinnati and lodgings at the Howard Johnson’s. We soothed our souls that evening with a little chocolate, a gift from all our friends at Schakolad back in St Petersburg. Â
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
