From B&B to Camping at Winton

2008 West--35th Anniversary, Family, Road Trip

Our original intention was to leave Cincinnati this morning but we couldn’t resist the invitation to join the family picnic at Steve’s cousin’s house this afternoon. So after a wonderful steak & eggs breakfast (a September 1st tradition for us) with our B&B hosts Maria and Scott, we set up camp at Winton Woods. We’ve camped there many times, and in fact we’ve camped before on the same site. We were successful at finding the laptop power cord that has been lost twice already on this trip (one reason for the delay in publishing our blog). Then spent the afternoon and evening enjoying the company of extended family.

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
