We drove south on US-101 trying to make time. We did stop at one California state park to drive through a giant redwood, but then scooted over to CA-1 at Olema and visited the campground where we stayed on our Honeymoon. Crossed the Golden Gate bridge into San Francisco then got confused trying to follow the directions on the GPS. We managed to find our way into the Redwood City area. We calmed our nerves at Kepler’s Books then met up with Mary Lou and followed her to her new digs where we met her housemate, Francesca, and settled in for a pleasant evening.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Over a long weekend we sampled some of the myriad things to do in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, unique among national parks for it’s environmental reclamation, historic preservation, and recreational opportunities adjacent to the populous cities of Cleveland and Akron in northeastern Ohio. Can’t wait to return and explore more.
