We left Las Cruces and headed through El Paso across   Texas to San Antonio. If you don’t already know it, let us tell you that Texas is a long state no matter how you cross it. El Paso to San Antonio is as far as St Petersburg to Atlanta. Saw lots of land, lots of energy related scenery, and good news – gasoline prices dropping! Ended the day getting a room on Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio and dinner in an Irish pub right on the Riverwalk.

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
