Interspersed with periods of pouring rain were moments of smoky mountain scenery. We had planned to drive to Tampa today but changed our plans because of heavy rain everywhere between here and Tampa. Instead we got the last of the boxes either unpacked or placed in the study closet temporarily. Now it looks as if we live there, not like we are moving in. We even have the first of our Christmas decorations up: Steve’s mother’s 80 year old German made Nativity set.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
