We arrived Sunday here in Traverse City and are leaving today headed back home. We’ve had a delightful stay at the Holiday Park Campground – only a little out of place in this park full of Airstream trailers. It’s been a great week visiting with Sally and her 98 year old mother, eating cherries, climbing sand dunes, exploring little towns, shopping at the farmers market, doing cooperative outdoor cooking, roasting marshmallows, boating on the lake, tricking out our and Sally’s teardrop campers, and generally having a wonderful time.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
