The Gathering Begins

Family

Back in the cove we tried out the snow boards that we bought in Waynesville on the way home. It was awesome!!!!! It’s been somewhere around 50 years since either of us had gone snow sledding.

Sometime after dark CJ and Phil arrived from Tampa and discovered that the ice on our road made passage impossible for their two wheel drive car. Steve met them back at the community center down near NC107 and brought them back to the house in the Trailblazer. We’re grateful that we now have 4WD!

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week.
