Gary arrived this past Friday and we have spent the last several days celebrating the autumn foliage of Western North Carolina. We drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway, explored in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, drove local mountain roads, visited Judaculla Rock, and a few waterfalls, all the while taking lots of photos. We’ve had some perfect weather for such adventures. Jackets required in the morning but lots of sunshine and blue skies. Also celebrated autumn with lots of good local seasonal foods such as fresh pork chops and apple pie!
Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Over a long weekend we sampled some of the myriad things to do in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, unique among national parks for it’s environmental reclamation, historic preservation, and recreational opportunities adjacent to the populous cities of Cleveland and Akron in northeastern Ohio. Can’t wait to return and explore more.
