Bergmann Bonanza

Family

Discovered that there is another researcher on Ancestry.com who is researching the Bergmann family. They downloaded some photos and documents relating to Aunt Marion and Uncle Herb. We’ve offered to share more photos and have accessed some of their data helping us to learn more about Uncle Herb’s family. Perhaps we will be able to identify all of the people in this photo! Yesterday and today have been spent mostly at home working on sorting genealogy papers and genealogy research. It’s a good thing we both really enjoy that stuff. We have taken off some time to make homemade soup, try a new recipe from Mediterranean Fresh and to enjoy the company of a neighbor from “up the cove” as well as to go walking in this absolutely beautiful weather.

I have a friend at work who is a Bergmann. I wonder if she is related.

Find out if she wants to find out. We haven’t updated the Thole genealogy yet but we can do it soon if needed.

Cozumel & Grand Cayman

Aboard the Norwegian Jewel we’ve made stops in Cozumel, Mexico and Georgetown, Grand Cayman to explore beyond our previous experiences here. Soon we’ll be making our way to ports we’ve not yet explored in the Southern Caribbean.

Winter Magic in Medina

Winter Magic in Medina

By deliberate choice we were in Medina for all the winter holiday festivities from Candlelight Walk in the days before Thanksgiving through A Christmas Carol and A Celtic Christmas as well as an Alex Bevan Concert and a historic house tour all the way through Medina’s 31st Ice Festival but perhaps the highlight was the town hosting hundreds of folks whose homes and lives were devasted by Hurricane Helene at the A Promise of Christmas Event the middle of January. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing community!
