Road Trip

Had a wonderful visit with Dick and Dawn. First we did a leisurely circuitous walk from the parking lot to the restaurant where we met Dawn. It was a good chance to talk with Dick and to see a little more of this beautiful little town, the oldest in Ohio. Then a tasty lunch at Austyn’s and time to catch up briefly on one another’s lives. More important, a chance to realize that we really do want to spend more time together. Then all too soon it was time to climb back into the car for the eight hour trip home. It’s been a four corners of Ohio trip: Cincinnati in the southwest, Toledo in the northwest, Canton in the northeast, and Marietta in the southeast. It’s been a good trip but is is so good now to be home.

Wicked The Musical

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
