Wednesday morning we left Cincinnati and headed north to Toledo where we had a wonderful visit with Steve’s cousin, Sue, and her daughter and her family friend, Doug. Sue graciously shared lots and lots of family stories, showed us her grandparents’ family bible, and allowed us to scan many wonderful photos. Not only that, she toured us around Toledo to see family homes, to lunch at Tony Packo’s (of M*A*S*H fame), and to visit an incredible fine art museum.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
