We awakened today to a gray, misty morning. At one point we were totally inside the cloud here on our mountainside. The best antidote to that is yummy comfort food. We dug in the freezer and pulled out local blueberries and blackberries and whipped up a batch of berry berry buckwheat pancakes dredged in homemade strawberry and maple syrups. Yum! Summer on a plate!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
