We have spent parts of the last four days with CJ and Phil. We met them at Sonny’s BBQ in Starke on Saturday night after they had spent the day at the Hogtown Renaissance Fair then we met for breakfast at The Jones Eastside Eatery in Gainesville before they spent the day at The Natural History Museum. Then we met at Lee Roy Selmon’s for dinner before heading to their place. We stayed with them for two nights while they returned to their workaday worlds. Phil cooked up a veritable feast for Monday night dinner then after breakfast Tuesday we had to hug them good bye. We will get to see them on Thursday for a little while but it always seems that there is not enough time to do all the things or have all the conversations we want to with them.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
