Monday and Tuesday Steve B. came and downed a poplar tree for us as well as a big black walnut limb that had broken off in a storm. He turned that an a mess of other cut wood into split firewood piled helter skelter in the driveway. Today after two hours of stacking, and just three pieces from being finished, part of one pile came tumbling down. Guess it’s time for a cup of tea.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
