Back in St Petersburg

Road Trip

After a morning meeting with our CFA, we joined Sally for lunch at The Columbia Restaurant at The Pier. It will probably be the last time we dine at that location. It holds a lot of memories for us but plans are for The Pier to go the way of all good things and to be replaced by something new. Later in the day we and Susan went out to Fort DeSoto and set up camp. She’d never seen our camping set-up and was a bit impressed. Then we three met Gary for dinner at Trip’s, formerly Dave’s Restaurant, on Ninth Street and Twenty-Fourth Avenue. During dinner we had a hilarious text conversation with Karen’s sister and her husband regarding family history!

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
