We hadn’t paid attention to the group schedule. Don’t ask us why. We just didn’t. So we were headed to breakfast when we saw Loren who asked if we were going to the dance lesson. We asked, “When?” He answered, “Now!” Well we couldn’t face the idea of a dance lesson on an empty stomach so we continued on to breakfast first. Then by the time we got there Arleene was so deep into the lesson we didn’t join in but rather listened and practiced a little on the side. By then we’d anchored off Princess Cay. Jean Elizabeth, Ed1, Ed2, Loren, Midge, JP, and the two of us got off together and partook of the barbeque luncheon served by ship staff before wandering along the beach, watching little fish feast off of bread crumbs, and enjoying the tropical sunshine. Princess Cay is a portion of the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamian out islands. We decided that it doesn’t really count as having visited Eleuthera though. Dinner included Tiramisu as one of the dessert options. It was on the menu, so we had to give it a try. It wasn’t noteworthy. After dinner we enjoyed the Jive Lesson and the Dance Party.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
