Once again the trailer pickup is delayed. When we ordered in early April we expected to take delivery no later than late May or possibly early June. But Little Guy International experienced a flood of orders. So then we were given a pick up date of June 15th. Just a couple of days before we were told not to come, the trailer was still in Ohio. The communication between us and the dealer was almost non-existent. We resorted to calling the CEO of the distributor and the headquarters for the dealer in order to get any information. Finally last Wednesday we talked to the salesman who told us we could pick it up on Tuesday June 23rd. So we scurried back to NC and hurried to get our errands run and the Trailblazer packed. We hooked up the Silver Shadow and were ready for an early morning departure. But at eight-thirty at night we got an email telling us that it wouldn’t be ready until Thursday. Okay, so it gave us a couple of extra days to enjoy our friends. Then today when we came back from a day of exploring there was another email. Don’t come on Thursday, it’s not ready. He promises to call on Thursday to tell us when we will be able to pick it up. Our attitude now is that we are going to get it on Friday whether it is ready or not.
Imperial War Museum
London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.
