Moving On

Family

We arrived in Pinellas on May 30th. That was more than seven weeks ago. Since then Gary has gotten stronger and stronger. He’s now ready to be independent. His cat is more than ready to see the last of us. We’ve enjoyed the little bit of extracurricular social life we’ve had. It’s been good to spend time with family as well as a few friends (wish we could have had the time to see many more friends). And we’ve treasured the evenings spent with our beloved Savoy dance friends. We have truly appreciated the care we have received at Europa Restaurant where we have become family. It’s been fun watching Gary’s thirty year old Century Plant bloom (and it’s been a little worrisome watching it’s increasing lean.) But adventure calls. We’ve gotten word that our camper will be ready on Tuesday. We spent today with Gary getting a few more tasks at the house. After bidding him farewell for now, we had a celebratory dinner at Cody’s (garlic fried shrimp) and then headed back to Sally’s to begin packing up.

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
