Family

IMG_5796There was another upside to making the trek into Ohio for trailer repair. Sugarcreek is just south of Canton. So last night after we set up camp at the KOA in East Sparta we drove into Canton and met Peyton and Riley, Dave and Amy at a local restaurant. Peyton thrilled us both by spotting us across the parking lot, squealing “Grandpop! Grandpop!” and running right into Nana’s arms. We had a delightful visit over dinner then continued it at Dave’s apartment. It was the night before the first day of school so a prompt bedtime was in order but just before that as Riley was showing us things for the first day of school we discovered an important item that Riley needed. So while Dave and Steve put the girls to bed, Karen and Amy made a quick trip to Target. It was good visiting time. And we were able to continue the visit for a little bit more this morning. Dave has taken the week off from work for the purposes of moving from his apartment to a house he’s just rented. That gave us a chance to meet him for a leisurely breakfast at Bob Evans. Good hugs!

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
