Brew and Bread

Family

9-1-12 9-16-08 PMIt’s been a day for running errands in between the raindrops in this county and next. Went to Franklin to check the mail at our temporary address before we head out. Used the opportunity to visit an excellent independent kitchen store. Had the opportunity there to exchange notes with another tiny camper owner. She travels with a Casita, it’s two feet longer than ours! Back in Sylva we got to visit with Cheryl and Dieter and hear the latest developments in their expansion plans as well as fill the growlers with beer and root beer. A quick trip for a couple of small items from WalMart and at Ingles for some Annie’s bread. Now we think we are ready to pack up and hit the trail. We will be leaving the house with beds made and tents set up for Greg and Rachel’s house party this weekend. We’re leaving them enough supplies for snacks and brews Thursday night and breakfast makings Friday morning. Then they will have to go out into the various wonderful emporiums around here to get more provisions for their reunion of friends. Hope they have fun!

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
