Oh No! Not Again!

Road Trip

IMG_5807Broke camp in East Sparta and headed north to the Great Lakes. Our revised ramble plans are to skirt the Great Lakes as we make our way east. From Canton we made our way to the neighborhood of Akron then east to Vienna and north on US 11 to UA 20 and slightly west to Geneva State Park on the shores of Lake Erie. Set up camp on Site 42 (Life, the Universe, and Everything) and opened the refrigerator. Oh no, not again! It wasn’t working. Then it was. Then it wasn’t. A couple of phone calls later and Ed from Pleasant Valley was on his way. Yes, he actually drove up from Sugarcreek to troubleshoot and repair our system. It was a faulty in-line fuse. The good news is that the fuse was redundant so merely removing it from the line and reinstalling the refrigerator was all that was needed. Thank you, Ed, for making a five hour round trip drive to make life good in our little T@B

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
