Brew Sunday

Family

After early Mass at St Mark’s, we had a delicious breakfast with Greg & Rachel at Dot2Dot Cafe on Dot Ave. It’s one of our favorite eateries in the area. The food is delicious, the service wonderful, the decor whimsical, and the atmosphere comforting. Thus fortified, Greg & Steve ventured forth on the Red Line to Davis Square and the home brew supply store. They made an extra stop along the way. Pursuant to a discussion of what the size of ice cream containers that could fit into our T@B freezer, we discovered several grocery stores in Boston carry Graeter’s Ice Cream! Since one of those was near the home brew store, of course they had to stop to procure a couple of pints of our most favorite in the whole wide world ice cream. Once they were back home again Greg embarked upon the brewing of a milk stout as requested by Rachel. It was a glorious afternoon, just perfect for an outdoor brew session accompanied by brew from a previous session. We capped the day off with a dinner grilled over charcoal and Graeter’s Ice Cream! It’s wonderful to spend time with these two!

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
