Excavation Begins

Family

After fortifying ourselves heartily on a big breakfast at Lindsey’s, a delightful independent Canton establishment, we headed to David’s new house. The accumulation of boxed and bagged possessions greeted us as we walked through the front door. Where to begin? Try to establish some order in the kitchen? Move the bedroom and attic stuff upstairs? Wrangle the furniture into position? Or all of the above? We met Dave and Amy for lunch at Samantha’s. A good midday break in their harried lives. Then back to it. We managed to get the major pieces of furniture into place and a lot of stuff upstairs so that by the time Dave got home from work the living room looked like a living room and Dave was able to chill for a few moments in front of his fake fireplace. We left him and Amy to enjoy a little time together and headed to the campground to fall into bed. An adventure of a different kind!
