Indian River Sunset

Florida, Road Trip, States

After brunch with Gary today, we hitched Eric the Red up to our Gypsy Wagon and headed into the East. We phoned ahead to make reservations at Wickham Park and discovered they had no vacancy. Time for a change of plans. Checked the Woodalls app and a few other resources and found a little RV park in Cape Canaveral. So we’re here at Carver’s Cove RV Park on the Indian River for a few nights. We walked out to the fishing pier at sunset and enjoyed the dance of lights across the water then walked a while along A1A before settling down in our chairs under our awning with a couple of cups of decaf and our ebooks. The weather ‘s perfect and the evening is quiet.

Imperial War Museum

London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.

This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
