Pi 2 Leftovers

Family

It’s Pi Season. It began on March 14th, Pi Day, and could go to Pi Approximation Day, July 22th, except that we will may be on the road by then. We celebrate Pi Season with our neighbors up Kalmia Ridge. On 3.14 they came to our house for Salad and Peach Pie. Last night we went to their house for Salad and Apricot-Raspberry Pie. And each time we split the leftover pie. Sometimes leftover pie makes a great breakfast but today it made a great dessert. And we’ve got more South Carolina Peaches that we put up last summer. Guess the next pie to share will be another Peach Pie! Yum!

Imperial War Museum

London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.

This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
