A Tradition Continues

20140419-172752.jpgFrom the time they were ten or so each one of our kids began receiving regular gifts of Craftsman tools. By the time they were on their own they had a full complement of household tools and the skill to use them. Today we gifted Riley with a toolbox and a few basic tools. On Monday she plans to use some of them to repair the bunk bed ladder that Peyton uses to climb up to her top bunk. Of course Grandpop and Peyton will be supervising the repair.

It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
