This morning Dave & Amy treated us to a visit to Hartville Market. It’s this great indoor/outdoor farmers/deli/flea/craft market. Mostly we wandered but we did come home with some tricolor pasta, handmade chocolates, and fabric. But Dave & Amy’s great find was classic vinyl LP’s. They chose Stevie Nicks’ Bella Donna, Johnny Cash’s Born to Sing, James Taylor’s sweet baby james, Pure Prairie League’s Bustin’ Out, and Fleetwood Mac. Much of this music we once enjoyed on vinyl and still enjoy as mp3’s. Since release dates on these albums range from 1970 to 1981, it seems that the music Dave & Amy listened to in their very earliest years had a profound influence on their adult musical tastes!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
Without doubt. But it doesn’t hurt that it is great music to begin with!
