It’s the beginning of the Deck Day gathering. Gail and Lynne arrived from Cincy last night bearing gifts of hometown food. We’ve spent a crazy morning doing party prep and shopping and are now reveling in a quiet moment and savoring Graeter’s Black Raspberry Chip Ice Cream. Shortly Jay and Liz will arrive and the busyness will resume. But for now we ‘re just glorying in the flavor of our favorite ice cream and grateful that Lynne reads our blog.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
