We’re in River Ridge LA, just west of New Orleans, sitting in the shade with our coffee and tea on a pleasantly warm morning enjoying the breeze debating as to what we want to do today. We both have a desire to visit the National World War II Museum but neither of us really wants to get involved in the crowds of their D Day Anniversary events nor do we care to deal with traffic or narrow streets or elusive parking places. Instead we may head upriver and visit a plantation house today. History lesson or history lesson? Two good options!
Imperial War Museum
London’s Imperial War Museum in Southwark founded even as the First World War raged offers insights into the myriad costs of the wars of the 20th and 21st Centuries. It was a most disquieting but valuable reminder of the myriad costs of war.
