This campground is situated alongside the highway and the desert stretches out behind. There’s some intentional vegetation, shrubbery planted between the campsites that affords a little bit of precious shade. The temperatures will remain above a hundred until sometime after dark. To get in a little activity we went into the pool long enough to cool off then walked a circuit around the campground and soaked in the glory of this Mojave sunset
