One of the delights of traveling without an itinerary or planned route, is the ability to act on tips we get from fellow travelers. Last night we had a delightful conversation with Jani. She gave us some tips on visiting Mobile but she also mentioned a nearby creamery with a large cow statue out front. So we included Mountain Fresh Creamery in Clermont, Georgia on our backroads route for the day and enjoyed ice cream within sight of the donor cows.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
