After getting ourselves unpacked and repacked, we joined Bill for coffee at Las Chivas then re-provisioned at the market at The Agora. We bid Bill goodbye then headed north on US-285. We first planned to camp at Navajo Lake State Park, but wanted to log a few more miles today. Then we headed west on US-64. We passed a couple of uninspiring RV parks in Farmington then started seriously looking around Shiprock. We crossed the border into Arizona and didn’t think we had the energy to go south to the campgrounds near Canyon de Chelly. Well, we ultimately drove into Page AZ and stopped at a delightful private campground. We did laundry and relaxed after our ridiculously long drive.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
