Just off The Avenue of Giants is Founder’s Grove with a nice interpreted nature trail and a docent. This place is dedicated to the men who fought to save the remaining ancient Redwoods beginning in the early part of the twentieth century. Only a very small percentage of the great redwood forests still remain but they do remain because of vocal proponents who fought to keep these magnificent trees standing.

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
