After a great day hanging around the campground hobnobbing with other teardrop campers here ahead of the gathering that begins tomorrow we climbed into th truck for a trip to Canton for a dinner visit with Peyton And Riley, Dave and Amy. We arrived half an hour before anyone got home so we ventured out despite the rain to find a nearby geocache. Had a wonderful time with our granddaughters playing jacks, pretending to be a horse, talking about an American Girls book that relates to family history, and appreciating Peyton’s skill at backwards bridge and enjoyed a homemade family dinner gathered around a dining room table that has now served four generations of our family!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
