Blogging ‘Bout Bean

Road Trip

IMG_3112.JPG
We’ve had the opportunity a couple of times to shop at LL Bean. The summer we met Bill and Dovie in Bar Harbor the two of us flew into Manchester and drove up the Maine coast stopping in Freeport to visit the flagship store to get some gear to enhance our camping wxperience. We blogged about it. Then last year after we visited John and Karen in New Sweden, we stopped again in Freeport, found some wonderful goodies at LL Bean and blogged about it. Last night we were shopping their online store for a couple more of their collapsible lanterns when we discovered that there is a satellite store in nearby Mansfield. So, this afternoon we made the trip, got the desired lanterns and found they had other goodies we didn’t want to camp without. It was a successful outing to an LL Bean, so we’re blogging ‘ bout Bean!

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
