After our travels of last summer and this summer we had visited thirty-five states in our T@B but still had gaps in the map in the Northeast. In the past four days we’ve added four more states: Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. We’ve overnighted, driven back roads, and geocached in every one of them. We want to come back and explore more, experience more, and eat more of the tasty local specialties such as the incredible scallops we enjoyed last night! And we still need to experience New Hampshire. We crossed a narrow section of the state last year but with no stops, it doesn’t count!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
