Welcome to Rhode Island

Rhode Island, Road Trip, States

IMG_3042.JPG
We are crossing the border into the tiniest state in the U.S. We’ve been in the yo Rhode Island before but never to stay. Once we flew into Providence and rented a car and drove to Cape Cod for Laura and Mason’s wedding. On other occasions we have driven through on our way to or from visits with Greg and Rachel but we have never paused even for a meal much less for an overnight. This time we have reservations at Wawaloam Campground in the southwestern part of the state.

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
