A White Thanksgiving

Family

IMG_3545.JPG
Well, maybe it’s more whitish than white, but there IS snow on the deck and more coming out of the sky this morning. We are thankful today that we have no need to leave home to travel any mountain roads. We’ve planned a simple non-traditional celebration for just the two of us. Right now we have strains of George Winston playing on the stereo. Later today there will be the aroma of Coq-au-Vin wafting from the kitchen and chilled Reisling gracing our wine glasses as we count our blessings. May you and yours enjoy as Thanksgiving full of love, blessings, and tasty goodies.

Just enjoyed homemade Peach Crisp with Vanilla Yogurt, Whipped Cream, and Toasted Pecans. Now enjoying Cinnamon Coffee while sitting in our cozy house and watching the snow continue to fall.

Cozumel & Grand Cayman

Aboard the Norwegian Jewel we’ve made stops in Cozumel, Mexico and Georgetown, Grand Cayman to explore beyond our previous experiences here. Soon we’ll be making our way to ports we’ve not yet explored in the Southern Caribbean.

Winter Magic in Medina

Winter Magic in Medina

By deliberate choice we were in Medina for all the winter holiday festivities from Candlelight Walk in the days before Thanksgiving through A Christmas Carol and A Celtic Christmas as well as an Alex Bevan Concert and a historic house tour all the way through Medina’s 31st Ice Festival but perhaps the highlight was the town hosting hundreds of folks whose homes and lives were devasted by Hurricane Helene at the A Promise of Christmas Event the middle of January. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing community!
