Four Balls Left

Family

It’s been a project in the making for quite a while. Our sister-in-law asked if Karen would knit her an afghan. In February she and we shopped together for the yarn knowing that it take some time. The project traveled with us this summer growing in scale as we logged the miles. Eventually it got too bulky to work on in the front seat of the truck and stayed just tucked-in in the back seat. Now it’s a living room project. It’s once again growing in length add we watch concerts on Qello. Only four of nineteen balls of yarn left. Could it be finished before the year is done?

It’s turning out nicely. It’s a cotton yarn and a dream to knit with. Dovie picked out the colors and the waffle check stitch. Hopefully it will be comfy and pretty enough to merit a place in their lives and their living room for years to come.

It is sooooo beautiful! I can’t wait to have an original Karen Thole piece in our house. Thank you for all the loving time and work that has gone into it.

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
