Preparing Gigi

Road Trip

IMG_3400.JPG
With a mixture of excitement and nostalgia we are getting Gigi ready for her last journey with us. On Thursday we will depart for Sugarcreek. On Friday Gigi will return to her birthplace, Pleasant Valley Trailers. We will spend a few days with Dave and his girls until it’s time to return to Sugarcreek to take possession of GG2, our warranty replacement trailer. We’ve had some wonderful adventures with Gigi – up to the Crown of Maine, down to the Mojave Desert, the Pacific Coast in Oregon, the Atlantic Coast in Florida, and so many places in between. We thank you Gigi for the comfort you have provided us, and we wish you many happy adventures in your reincarnation.

Imperial War Museum

Imperial War Museum

London’s Canals

The two of us have long been fascinated with the history of canals and their role in the history of transportation, industrialization, and more recently recreation. This stay in London has given us new opportunities to explore and learn more about how canals contributed to the growth of this great city and how they are being used and preserved today.

National Portrait Gallery

National Portrait Gallery

It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
