Memorable Journey

It’s been a lovely cruise! Week One with Savoy at Sea was all about dancing and it was a glorious week. Then Week Two we cruised again, just the two of us together, tables for two, freedom from schedules, foreknowledge of the best places onboard and the delightful service providers. This week too was all about dancing – to the strains of the Tuxedo Quartet every night! Their last set on the last night was all songs that evoked the idea of travel, from “Take the A-Train” to “Arrivederci, Roma” to “Fly Me to the Moon”. As we danced to “Come Fly with Me”, we realized that for the two of us, this song would for us bring back memories of this magical time forevermore!

We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
