A Different Kind of Warped

Family

Anyone who has visited us at Tween Creeks in recent years has had to deal with our warped interior doors. They are difficult to latch, won’t stay open, or won’t stay closed.  We’ve made arrangements to have them straightened and braced. Ken will take them one by one to his workshop where he has the equipment to get them back in true then to reinforce the Z-brace.  Once we got this one off the doorframe it was evident that it is about two inches out of true. No wonder it had to be propped open with a beanbag!

I am going to miss that little bean bag; but I won’t miss the squeaky doors in the middle of the night or early in the morning. Have a great retirement little bag, you have earned it. I am sure Steve has the perfect place for you to spend your retirement.

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

Fenton House and Spaniards Inn

A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.

Excursion to Bath, England

Excursion to Bath, England

Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
