Eat Dessert First

Road Trip

Esther’s Bakery in downtown Sugarcreek! It’s a tiny little place with a selection of yummy pastries a couple of sandwich options and a few cold beverage choices. We got started on our filled and frosted chocolate cake doughnuts while we waited for our cheeseburgers. Everything was tasty but the doughnuts were absolutely top notch. We got here by way of the Alpine Hills Historical Museum on Main Street. It’s a well done little museum. We’re hoping to bring our granddaughters here soon.

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
