We spent a wonderful afternoon with Tom & Kathy and their offspring. It was our first visit with MB & Chris since they wed, and a good chance to catch up with Neil and with Paul. Following a delectable brunch we drove to Sugarcreek Metro Park to hike. One of the special spots is the Osage Tunnel. These Osage Orange trees were planted in the late 1800’s as a fencing much like one of barbed wire.
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
