The Woolery

Road Trip

The Woolery has been on our radar for a number of years. We got the Ashford Traditional Spinning Wheel from them by mail order in late 1999. Since then we’ve gotten spinning and weaving supplies from them either by mail order or at their booth at SAFF in Asheville. Today we parked the T@B at a campsite at Kentucky Horse Park, stopped by to pick up Phil in Lexington, then headed to downtown Frankfort to visit The Woolery live anyin person! The plan was to learn all we could about rigid heddle looms. Now Karen is the proud owner of a 16″ Kromski Harp with stand, a second heddle kit, and two extra heddles. It’s a folding loom that can travel with us when we hit the road.

Burgh House Hampstead

Burgh House Hampstead

Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical
