Mountain House Ice Cream

Road Trip

Yesterday when we stopped at WalMart with Verna after the factory tour, we all gleefully tried to spend each other’s money by suggesting products we thought the other would like. She succeeded in getting us to invest in  ThermaCell system to repel mosquitoes. Then we goaded each other into trying freeze dried ice cream. We tried it this afternoon. It’s a curious experience. Although you get the flavor of ice cream the texture is all wrong. It doesn’t melt while you are eating it, but instead you’ve got crumbs landing in your lap. It did nothing to cool us off on this blistering afternoon but was a sweet treat nonetheless. We’re glad we tried it!
